"The Art of Dramatic Writing" by Lajos Egri was first published in 1942 under the title "How to Write a Play", and was revised in 1946 and given the title it has today. Lajos Egri's book is a systematic breakdown of the essentials for creating successful realistic plays, analyzing them, and then putting the pieces back together. In this lesson, students are introduced to the book and they will research its subject and author, Lajos Egri.
