Objective

Eduardo was excited about the idea of being a part of an exclusive club, the Phoenix. Today's objective is to discuss the idea of becoming a part of an important group and why it's so important for some people to become a part of something like this.

Lesson

1. Have each student make a list of the groups they are in.

2. In smaller groups, have students discuss whether they think being in a group is important to them.

3. As a class, have the students discuss what happens to those people who do not get into a group. What happens if a person never wants to join a club and when they never end up joining a club? What will people do to be a part of a group that has prestige?
