Objective
The objective of this lesson is for students to analyze Sasha's relationship with their parents Debbie and Karl in Part I. Sasha was diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome at a young age, and Sasha was always a bright, creative, and unique child. Although Debbie and Karl take some time to adjust to Sasha's gender nonconformity preferences, they are both very supportive of Sasha. The family of three has a strong, supportive relationship.
Lesson
Class Discussion: How would you describe Sasha's relationship with their mother Debbie? How would you describe Sasha's relationship with their father Karl? How do Debbie and Karl react to Sasha's preference to identify as agender? What are some of the things Debbie and Karl worry about most with Sasha?
