Objective
The objective of this Daily Lesson is for students to analyze Aviv's personal connection to the topic of this book. Aviv chooses to open the book with a deeply personal summary and reflection of her own struggles with anorexia and mental health challenges as a very young child, age 6. Aviv introduces the topic of exploring and examining different mental illnesses through her own experiences, which draws the reader in more closely and immediately from the start.
