Rachel, a young girl, is clutching her doll. Rachel's father, Chase, and Zedd, a wizard, are talking. Rachel sees something and goes over to Chase to convince him to pull out his weapon.

2. What does Zedd tell his two companions to do about the screeling?

Zedd tells Chase and Rachel to walk, not run or stand still and they attempt to lock the thing up in the garden. The screeling does not focus well on things that are walking but can spot you if you stay still or run.

3. What do Zedd and Chase do about the screeling?

They make a plan to get the screeling into the water. They are able to get it into the water and Zedd uses his magic to encase the creature in ice, then tells the soldiers to hack it into little pieces before it can figure out how to escape.
