Bakery Diorama

Create a diorama of what you envision the Jordache bakery to look like.

Boxing Match

If appropriate for your area, have the students attend a local boxing match to see what Thomas' world may have been like. If attendance is not feasible, watch a match on TV and try to catch the excitement that fueled Thomas for so many years.

Character Charades

Write the names of the characters from the novel on slips of paper and place them in a hat. Play a game of charades using the characters' names. Be sure to use what you know about the characters from the novel to act out clues for your turn.
