Lesson
Possible Activities:
• Have the students hold a class discussion to determine what they believe is the main idea of this chapter (that young adolescent girls have a specific and unique set of issues from their male counterparts).
• Have the students work in pairs to develop definitions, similarities and differences between the concepts of main idea, central message and theme.
• Have the students create a pictorial representation of the main idea of this chapter.
Homework
Have the students write a few sentences supporting or denying that the main idea of this chapter revolves around the issues that affect the development of adolescent girls.
