Book Design

Design a book cover for The Reivers. You should include a description of the story on the back and some comments that promote the book.

Southern Colloquialisms

Go through the book and extract all the southern colloquialisms. With a friend write a dialogue between the two of you that uses the colloquialisms.

Word Association

With a partner say a word or name that relates to the book, for example a character, and see how many words you associate with that word. The first person to pause loses the game. When you have finished with one word, start with another one.

Growing Up

One of the major themes of The Reivers deals with Lucius growing up. Write about all the important events in your youth and the events that you think have molded you into the person you are today.
