Objective
The objective of this Daily Lesson is for students to analyze how Cosby describes Ike Randolph's attitudes towards police in Part I. In Chapter One, police come to Ike's house early in the morning to tell him his son Isiah has been shot and killed along with his husband, Derek. Even before Ike hears the news, he has a terrible feeling, and, as a convicted felon, he has a long history of doubt, fear, and anger towards the police.
