Objective
The objective of this lesson is for students to explore the authors' background and personal interest in the subject matter reflected in the novel. Bernice L. McFadden is an American novelist who has also written humorous erotica under the pen name Geneva Holliday. McFadden's stories are often abundant with themes that pertain to family, family dynamics, as well as black culture and history.
