Objective
Students will become familiar with the basics of postcolonial theory.
Natalie Diaz's Postcolonial Love Song is grounded in her experience as an indigenous and Latinx person living in a postcolonial America. In order to thoroughly understand the collection, students should at least know the basics of postcolonial theory. This lesson offers them that background in preparation for their reading.
