1. Benjamin Franklin is the most well known printer from Colonial times although he was not the first. Discuss Franklin's move to Boston to work with his brother James as an apprentice. Also discuss necessary training, education and experience and how they relate to the book. Do you think POOR RICHARD'S ALMANACK would exist if Franklin had not been a printer? Discuss what process Franklin might have used to create the various pamphlets. How else were Franklin's skills useful?
