Thing Finding

Using the directions from the book, take the students on a Thing Finding expedition. Have the students each present what they found and how they can use their things.

Strength Contest

Pippi is extremely strong. Hold a strength contest in whatever form you desire, i.e. weight lifting, arm wrestling, etc. Have the winner of the day wear a special medal of honor.

Pippi's Alphabet

Have the students come up with a way to teach Pippi her alphabet that would be easier for her to understand than the flash cards that were tried by the school teacher.

Tag

Play a massive game of tag with the class and have the students later write about why this was so appealing for Pippi.

Pippi's Name

Have the students create a work of art that displays each part of Pippi's enormously long name.
