Preface

· The following version of this book was used to create this Lesson Plan: Darma, Budi. People from Bloomington. Penguin Books, 2016.

· At the close of 1974, Darma left Indonesia for Bloomington, Indiana.

· Once there, he began to feel anxious that he would not have enough time to write because most of his time would be dedicated to his studies.

· When Darma was not studying, he enjoyed taking strolls, and walked every day, no matter the weather.

· It was during those walks that Darma observed things he found very intriguing.

· In November 1975, Darma managed to finish all of his work, which meant that he was free to return to Indonesia.

· However, Darma wanted to remain in Bloomington, and could do so because the scholarship he was on was still in effect.

· Darma remained in Bloomington until spring of 1976, at which point he had received a different scholarship that enabled him...
