Reality

Have everyone bring an item into school that may not be easy to tell what it is without sight. In turn, blindfold students and have them use their touch to guess what the object might be.

Language

Divide into groups of three. Have two students try to explain a technology that doesn't exist in the third student's reality; e.g., a computer to someone in the bronze age.

Viewpoint

For one class period when anyone says something they have to say it in the third person.

Humor

Have each student bring in a joke from another culture and a his/her favorite American joke. Have the students tell each joke. Rate them on a scale on how funny the jokes seem to the class. Compare the numbers between the American jokes and the other.
