Watch the movie The Godmaker. Afterwards, discuss the newspaper editorial written about the showing of the movie in The Centennial. Do you agree with the editor's opinions? Why or why not? Were his opinions biased?
Editing editorials
Most newspapers include an editorial page. Find an editorial that deals with a topic interesting to you. Along with reading the editorial, also research and find out as much as you can about the "real" story behind the editorial. Do you believe the editorial writer is being fair to the issue on which they are commenting.

Student should choose a story to tell (doesn't have to be religious) using a flannelgraph. After presentations, teacher may want to segue students into the feelings that this type of presentation would have made the Robertsons feel when they were expecting a relaxing evening with friends.
