Objective

Objective: Act 1, Part 1 This play is a simple chronicle of the day-to-day life of a small town and its occupants. The objective of this lesson will be to have the students discuss their own typical days and to analyze what importance these tasks have on our lives.

1) Have the students each write a typical daily schedule of their lives. Have each student read their schedules. Discuss this with the class. How were these schedules all different? How were they the same? Were some days better filled? Were some surprising to you? How closely did they correlate with each other? What do these daily schedules tell you about a person?

2) Split the class into groups and assign each group one of the characters from the first scene. Have each group use the book to map out the daily schedule of that character. What do they do? Where do...
