Critique the Book

Pretend that you are reviewing the book for a magazine or newspaper. How would you critique the book? How could the book be improved?

The ABCs of Ordinary People

Create a book with each page representing a letter of the alphabet. On each page, think of something from the novel that starts with that letter and draw a picture to go with it. For example, for the letter "A" you could use the word "accident" and draw a picture of Jordan's boat accident.

Ordinary People Storyboard

Create a storyboard for the novel "Ordinary People" that includes the major events from the novel. Present the storyboard to the class.

Conrad's Poem

Write a poem from Conrad's point of view that shows his emotions about any of the events that happen to him in the novel. For example, maybe Conrad would write a poem about the death...
