Titles

Have the students break into groups. Have each group create a new and more fitting title for this book. Make sure they are ready to defend their choice.

Art in Multiple Mediums

Create a piece of art in any medium that portrays one of the basic themes of the book. Have different groups do different themes, and then have the class view all the different works.

Dust Jackets

Create a dust jacket for this book. Have the students all cover their copy of the book with this dust jacket. Have them add to the cover art as the book progresses. Tell them they will be graded on creativity and depth to the plot.

Singing Time

Write a song about your favorite character and sing it for the class. Have a stage set up and allow each student, or pairs of students, to perform their song or poem...
