Have the students come up with some other spells that could have been useful to Number 44.

Puppet Show

Split the class into groups and assign each group one portion of this story. Have each group create a puppet show of their section to present to the class. Have them later write about why their assigned portion was so important to the plot.

Animal Transformation

Marget's maid is turned into a cat, and she prefers the life of a cat to the life a maid. Have the students choose an animal whose life they would prefer over their own, and why. Allow the students to all present their information.

Old School Printing

Teach the students about the old style printing presses. Use pictures and diagrams. You could even have someone who owns or has used one to come and talk to the class about how it works. Have...
