Break up the students into small groups. Each group brings in a different Colombian dish to share. At least one should include lentils.

News on the hostages

Break up the students into Groups A and B. Then, in each group, pair students into partners. Group A is to make a newspaper with the main headline and article about the hostage situation. Each pair will work on an article or advertisement together. Group B is to make a television news program whose main subject is about the hostage situation. Each pair will work on a set piece to report.

15-minute messages

In small groups, prepare and show a 15 minute program that is meant to help the hostages during confinement. This is much like Alexandra's show that she often uses to communicate to her mother, Maruja.
