Have the students bring in an article from the newspaper that has a story that reminds them of something that happens in the book.

Samurai Training

Have the students spend an hour training in each portion of the samurai techniques and write about what this taught them about Musui.

Game Time

Have the students each create a game that enhances the player's knowledge of the book. Have a scheduled day to play all of these games together.

Revenge Plans

Have the students choose one of the characters in this book who wronged Musui and create a plan whereby Musui could have taken his revenge on that character.

Art in Multiple Mediums

Create a piece of art in any medium that portrays one of the basic themes of the book. Have different groups do different themes, and then have the class view all the different works.
