Newscast

Using the events from Mercy, write a script for a newscast. The tone can be serious or humorous, but it should accurately describe events from the novel. It can include reporters on the scene, sports and weather. Do the newscast in front of the class.

Movie poster

Make a poster advertising Mercy as a movie. Use symbols, concepts and themes from the novel on your poster. Who would star in the movie? What would it be rated?

Playlist

Make a playlist of 8-12 songs for Allie. Chose songs that would accurately portray her feelings and the events of the novel.

Art project

Using any medium, create a piece of art that represents one of the central themes of the novel.

Graphic comic

Take one of the scenes from Mercy and draw a graphic comic with dialogue (example: When Jamie confesses in the parking lot.)
