Objective
The objective of this Daily Lesson is for students to analyze McBride's use of metaphor in Part I. Moth repeatedly refers to the car being split in half and herself and her family tumbling out like the insides of a candy bar. Throughout Part I, McBride also delves into the various metaphors surrounding moths themselves - as creatures of change, adaptability, intrigue, and guile.
