She also has a knack for writing and enjoys writing in her journal daily. She displays several characteristics including curiosity, confusion, and a need to find herself. She attempts to do this through exploring her environment, the people around her, and enjoying new experiences.

2. What feelings does the narrator have as a result of visiting Victoria Falls with Giles? Why?

After visiting Victoria Falls with Giles, the narrator realizes she is depressed, uncertain, and lonely. She realizes she has these feelings for two reasons. One, she has a very strong reaction to the beauty of Victoria Falls. Two, she is disappointed that Giles loses interest in her while on the trip.
