The Lyceum

Hold a lecture circuit in the class where everyone writes and presents a lecture that would be typical of something found on "The Lyceum."

Sketch Books

Twain wrote a few books that were primarily sketches from his life. Have each student write about a few experiences or sketches from his/her life to put in a book of this nature.

Senses List

Twain loved to be in nature and let it affect all of his senses. Have the students spend some time in a quiet and natural area and have them write down how it affects each of their senses.

Action!

Provide the class with a box of random props and have them act out scenes from the book. Award extra credit points to the team with the most points at the end.
