Respond Through Art
Using the medium of your choice--collage, textiles, pen-and-ink, paint, clay, etc.--respond to the theme of "Tintern Abbey." You may choose to agree with the ideas the poem expresses or you may choose to disagree. When you finish, write a paragraph-length artist's statement that explains how your piece responds to "Tintern Abbey."
Revisit a Childhood Memory
Choose something that gave you a happy, carefree feeling when you were younger. This might be a place, a book, a movie, a song, a game, or anything else you can think of. Revisit whatever it is: return to the place, reread the book, re-watch the movie, etc. Then, write either a prose narrative (of about a page) or a poem (of at least 15 lines) that describes your feelings during your return "visit." What has changed for you, and what is still the same? Why?
