Lesson

Lead the class in a discussion about what Wyoming pioneer life would have been like for the women who came west as homesteaders. What can the students offer about any previous study they have done about this time period and geography? What are the perceptions of Wyoming pioneer life that may have been altered after having read this book? What did they expect? What surprised them? What do they think about pioneering days after they have viewed it through the eyes of the women who actually lived it? Discuss.
