Play a Game
In the lesson based on the comparison and contrast of the lives and deaths of both Seneca and Socrates, students listed similarities and differences. Give the students a few minutes to review their lists, then play the game: "Seneca or Socrates?" Split the class into several teams and ask questions. Each team competes to answer the most questions correctly. You state a fact and they answer whether it refers to Socrates or Seneca. Keep score and give a prize to the winning team.
