Objective
Lean In: Women, Work, and the Will to Lead is a nonfiction book by American businesswoman, women’s advocate, and chief operating officer of Facebook, Sheryl Sandberg. The book examines the gender divide and the obstacles that must be overcome in order to establish true equality in the workplace. In this lesson, students will conduct research on author Sheryl Sandberg, the Google corporation, and Anita Summer, and will discuss the opening of the Introduction: “Internalizing the Revolution.”
