Film Making
Stahr spends a huge portion of his time involving himself in the film making process. Work together as a class to make a short film. This will require writers, editors, actors, cameramen, etc.
Dioramas
Split the class into groups and assign each group a different setting from the book, such as the studio, Stahr's house, the plane, the limo, the office, etc. Have each group create a diorama of this setting along with a description of how this setting affects the plot of the book. Arrange these dioramas in chronological order.
Titles
Have the students break into groups. Have each group create a new and more fitting title for this novel. Make sure they are ready to defend their choice.
Incomplete Ending
Fitzgerald died before his book was completed. Some of his friends pieced the plot together through his notes, but Fitzgerald never got to finish...
