Objective

Chapters 1-2: Lancelot is the main character in the book. The early portions of the book spend a lot of time devoted to developing Lancelot as a character. This lesson will focus on who Lancelot is. The students, at the end of the lesson, should have an understanding of who Lancelot is so they can better understand the story as it develops.

Lesson

1. When the students come into class, have a class brainstorming session of adjectives the class would use to describe Lancelot. Then divide the class into small groups, and ask each small group to pick their top five adjectives - from the list - and give their reasons for why those are the top five. Share the results with the class.
