Objective

The idea of creating a sort of modern version of Biblical events is something that might be upsetting to some, yet it also seems to hold value for those who may not be entirely familiar with the Bible. Today's objective is to talk about the value of taking something perceived as sacred and modernizing it.

Lesson

1. Have each student discuss what their initial reactions to this book were. How did they feel about this book choice?

2. In smaller groups, have students discuss whether they think it's blasphemous to relate the events of the Bible in a modern way. Why or why not?
