Objective
The objective of this lesson is for students to analyze Klara's relationship with Manager. Manager seems to treat Klara with respect and dignity, and she often tells Klara how extraordinary Klara is. Klara respects Manager, too, and is eager to please Manager, who tells the AFs like Klara that they are representing the store to the whole street when they stand in the front alcove. Klara also finds out that the Manager has her back when she tries to keep herself available for a girl, Josie, who has said she wants Klara to come home with her - an action that is against the store's rules and conventions.
