Travel Brochure

Popular works of fiction are often inspired by tours of real-life locations that play a part in the story. Create a travel brochure advertising a modern guided tour of England inspired by "Ivanhoe." Include locations that will be of interest to readers of Ivanhoe, such as medieval castles or special-interest museums.

Guess Who Game

Write the names of characters on a small square card and give one to each student (try not to duplicate the character names if possible). Have the students attach the card to their foreheads or backs, but don't let them see the card! Have students go around the room asking "yes" or "no" questions to each other about their characters. Who is able to guess their character first is the winner!

Create a time line mapping out important events in the story. Illustrate (with a photo, clipping, drawing, etc.) each point...
