1. Have students come up with a list of reasons why dreams are important in their life. If not, why not?

2. In smaller groups, have students discuss whether or not they think Freud was right to choose this discussion of dreams for his book. Why or why not?

3. As a class, have students make a list of the reasons why dreams are important. Have students discuss the reasons for their answers. How can dreams affect day to day interactions? What would happen if there were no dreams? Are dreams something that they value? Why or why not?
