Chapter One: The god in this story is a raven who flaps his wings in order to create life. The objective of this lesson is to examine the raven god in the myth.

Discussion: Who is the god in this story? What type of god is the raven? Is the raven male or female? What tells you this? Does the raven create man directly? Or indirectly? How does he do this? What different things does the raven create in the story?

Group Lesson: Write a list of the different characteristics of the raven in the story. Include how the raven looks, acts, speaks and how he thinks. Share the list with the class.
