Objective

Immortal in Death opens with futuristic policewoman Eve Dallas on her way to choose a dress for her upcoming wedding. Eve is a homicide detective in New York City in the year 2058, and she is anxious about the prospect of marriage because she has concentrated on her career for so long that she isn't sure how to blend her personal and professional life. This lesson will discuss the character of Eve and her role as protagonist in the novel.
