Objective
The objective of this lesson is for students to explore the author’s background and personal interest in the subject matter reflected in the novel. John Donovan was an American writer best known for his young adult novel I'll Get There. It Better Be Worth the Trip. The novel is known for being one of the first young adult novels to address homosexuality.
