Cast a Film

Ask students to cast the novel as though it were a film from actors today. Why would they choose who they choose? Describe their vision of the characters.

Ask students to look in their local newspaper for an article that involves some aspect of the novel and bring it to class. They will present it in front of the class and explain why it relates to the novel.

Watch the Film Adaptation

Give students the opportunity to watch the 2004 film adaptation of I, Robot. Students should discuss the similarities and differences between the film and the book.

Draw a Character

Have students draw their interpretation of a character from the novel. Artistic ability is not important, but their drawings must reflect the narrator’s description to some extent. How do they envision the different robot models described in the narrative?
