Create Your Own Story without a Timeline

While most people can tell you what they did in the past few days by retelling the events one after another, challenge students to think about their lives in terms of events, not dates or times. Have each student write a paragraph about the past twenty-four hours, but they're not allowed to put the events in order. Have the student submit a timeline too for comparison.

Redo the Cover Art

This novel comes with various kinds of cover art, so challenge students to come up with something new and different after they have read most of the book. This art can contain anything that relates to the themes of the novel, but should be specific in terms of the images it creates.
