Lesson

1. Compare and contrast Paterson New Jersey Post World War I, Post World War II and today. What were Ginsberg's opinions on each? What has been the most significant change over the years?

2. Paterson is an industrial city in New Jersey. Use a map to mark out Paterson and its major landmarks. Also relate it to Manhattan and more specifically Greenwich Village, which would become a home to the poet.

3. Write a 1,000 word essay on Paterson, including its overall culture, demographic, industry, and history of its people.

4. Homework: Create a collage or list of famous people from New Jersey. Include the reason why each was famous.
