Objective
This lesson introduces students to the nonfiction book How to Be an Antiracist by Ibram X. Kendi. Students will research the author, his body of works, and the publication of this book, and will read and discuss the Introduction. How to Be an Antiracist is the third book by Ibram X. Kendi, one of America’s foremost historians and leading antiracist voices. His previous works, The Black Campus Movement and Stamped from the Beginning: The Definitive History of Racist Ideas in America have earned him the W.E.B. Du Bois Book Prize and the National Book Award.
