The war, nicknamed the Great War, had a great influence on American culture at the time since it was on the forefront of everyone's minds. Jake enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1917 to fight in Europe. The objective of this lesson is to learn about World War I, focusing on its impact on the culture and events in the story.
