Objective
Langley Research Center, which is the main setting of Hidden Figures, is located in Hampton, Virginia. The author writes about the communities surrounding Langley, their rapid growth due to World War II and the defense industry, and how the area affected those who worked at Langley Research Center. The objective of this lesson is to examine the setting of Hidden Figures.
