The Hollister Riot, July 4th Weekend, 1947

Several members of a motorcycle gang known as the Booze Fighters congregated, and engaged on a public drinking binge. The police broke up the event after some minor violence. What would have ordinarily been a minor criminal event was widely reported in the media and dubbed with this name.

The Monterey Rape, Labor Day Weekend, 1964

This was the event in which two women claimed they had been gang raped by members of the Hell's Angels motorcycle gang during a wild beach party . One of the women was fourteen and one was fifteen. One was also pregnant. One of the alleged victims was white and the other was African-American.
