• Hamilton: The Revolution is a two-part book. One part is a nonfiction collection of essays by Jeremy McCarter discussing the development of the Broadway musical Hamilton. These essays are alternated with text, dialogue, scenes, and musical numbers from the musical itself annotated with sidebar commentary from creator Lin-Manuel Miranda.
• Jeremy McCarter is a writer, director, and producer and in addition to co-writing Hamilton: The Revolution, he has an extensive history in New York theater, having served five years on the artistic staff of the Public Theater and having written about culture, art, and politics in New York magazine, Newsweek, and The New York Times.
