Class Discussion: Discuss the students' responses from the small group activity. Discuss the conditions of the camp. Are they safe? Why or why not? How can this base camp's environment be used to explain why the operation continues, although flawed?

Individual Activity: Research another military operation from the Vietnam War. Describe it. How successful was it? Explain.

Class Discussion: Have the students share their research about Vietnam War operations. Compare the military operations.

Homework: Overall, does it seem that the operations in Vietnam were successful? Why or why not?
