Movie

Give students an opportunity to watch the film of Even Cowgirls Get the Blues starring Uma Thurman. After students have viewed the film, they should write a paper discussing the differences between the two versions of the story.

News Clipping

Ask students to look in their local newspaper for an article that involves some aspect of the novel and bring it to class. They will present it in front of the class and explain why it relates to the novel.

Draw a Character
