King Henry VIII was trying to have his marriage with Catherine of Aragon dissolved by the Church, but Pope Clement VII refused and followed Catherine's nephew's wishes. Henry VIII married Anne Boleyn in January 1533. The objective of this lesson is to examine the significance of King Henry VIII and his relationships with women and the Church.
Lesson
1) Pair Work: Library Research and Biography: Students should research Catherine of Aragon, Anne Boleyn, and Jane Seymour. Students should find information on their parents, upbringing, as well as how the marriage was established with King Henry VIII and how the marriage went. Students should write a biography on the information found on Catherine of Aragon, Anne Boleyn, and Jane Seymour.
